We should have killed the game off in the first half- Kotoko coach on FA Cup win

Kumasi Asante Kotoko's head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, spoke after the match. He said his team should have finished off True Democracy in the first half.

Kotoko won 2-1 to reach the semifinals of the MTN FA Cup. Kwame Opoku scored a late goal at Baba Yara Stadium to secure the win.

Saaka Dauda opened the scoring for Kotoko in the 12th minute. Isaac Botchway equalized for True Democracy in the 62nd minute. Opoku’s goal came in added time after a scramble in the penalty box.

Dr. Ogum noted that True Democracy played very physically. He praised his players for maintaining their energy and focus during the game.

He acknowledged that they should have secured a bigger lead earlier. "Sometimes that's just how football goes," he said.

Kotoko is still on track to win both the league and cup this season. They currently lead the Ghana Premier League standings.
