Ghana's Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has emphasized that the Black Stars must qualify and make history at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana currently sits second in Group I with nine points and will face Chad and Madagascar in the upcoming qualifiers.
Following their failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Adams insists the team must not only qualify but also compete strongly, aiming to surpass their 2010 quarterfinal finish.
He acknowledged Morocco as the only African nation to reach a World Cup semifinal and urged Ghana to work hard to achieve similar success.
The Black Stars revived their qualification hopes with crucial wins against Mali and the Central African Republic, keeping them in contention for a spot in the tournament hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
