Hohoe United Football Club Update
Kennedy Asante, the Public Relations Officer of Hohoe United, shared exciting news. The club is optimistic about qualifying for the Ghana Premier League. They narrowly missed out last season but succeeded this year.
Asante spoke to Citi Sports after Hohoe United's 3-1 victory over Inter Allies. This match took place at the Hohoe Stadium on Sunday, May 25.
Hohoe United received their license from Liberty Professionals. Liberty changed from a professional team to a football academy two seasons ago.
“We were hopeful this season,” Asante said. “Last year, Vision FC qualified ahead of us. With our motivation and focus, we achieved our goal.”
In Zone 2, Swedru All Blacks returned to the GPL after 16 years. They won 3-0 against New Edubiase United.
A decisive match will occur in Zone One on Friday, May 30. Real Tamale United will face Techiman Eleven Wonders at Accra Sports Stadium.
