Black Queens head coach Kim Lars says his side earned their 1-0 win over Senegal in Saturday’s international friendly in Dakar.

The match is part of Ghana’s preparations for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Evelyn Badu netted the only goal with a well-placed header in the 24th minute.

Despite a second-half red card to Anasthesia Achiaa, Ghana held on for the win.

Lars praised his team’s strong first-half performance, calling the goal “beautiful,” but admitted they struggled to avoid Senegal’s physical game later on.

Ghana, currently in Senegal for a nine-day training camp, will face the Teranga Lionesses again on Wednesday in another warm-up encounter.
