We will be benefiting from imposing harsh punishments on wrongdoers - Sports Minister Kofi Adams

Sports Minister Kofi Adams has called for stricter penalties for violence at football stadiums.

His comments came after chaos during a Ghana Premier League match. This match was between Basake Holy Stars and Nations FC.

Adams emphasized the need for accountability and quick action. He stated that everyone should face consequences, regardless of their status or political ties.

"People must be punished when they do something wrong," he said. "This applies to everyone in the country."

The Minister believes harsh punishments will help the football industry. "We must have the tenacity to punish people when they do wrong," he added.

He stressed that this approach is essential for a country that loves football.

The Ghana Football Association has acknowledged the disturbance and is investigating. Adams' remarks underline the importance of discipline and accountability in Ghanaian football.
