Black Queens Training Camp Update
Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren has shared key insights. Improving goal-scoring efficiency was a top priority during their recent training camp. This nine-day camp took place at the GFA Technical Centre in Prampram.
Bjorkegren noted progress in many areas. However, the final third remains a concern. This is especially important as Ghana prepares for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
WAFCON will occur from July 5 to July 26. Ghana is in Group C with South Africa, Mali, and Tanzania.
“We’ve tested many players,” Bjorkegren said. “Now we need to finalize our tactics.” He emphasized connecting with wingers and strikers as crucial.
“This is vital for creating chances and scoring goals,” he added. “We will focus on this in the next camp.”
He praised the talent of players at the camp. “You can see their skills when you spend time with them,” he stated.
Bjorkegren mentioned five or six players to watch closely, including Abigail, Nancy, and Fatima. He believes there may be two or three more worth considering as well.
