“We would not consent to it” – Javier Tebas reacts to La Liga referee allegations

La Liga referee José Luis Munuera Montero is under investigation by the Spanish Football Federation over alleged conflicts of interest related to his association with Talentus Sports, a company providing services to La Liga.

Munuera Montero denies any wrongdoing but has been temporarily suspended from officiating.

La Liga president Javier Tebas clarified that the company belongs to Munuera’s partner, not him, and insisted the referee does not provide services to La Liga or UEFA.

He expressed support for the investigation while believing Munuera will be cleared.

Adding to his troubles, Munuera Montero faced death threats after sending off Jude Bellingham in Real Madrid’s 1-1 draw against Osasuna. He must now wait for the investigation's outcome before resuming his duties.
