What A Season- Gideon Mensah states after AJ Auxerre mark Ligue 1 return with 11th place finish

Ghana defender Gideon Mensah is proud to play for AJ Auxerre.

He shared his feelings on X (formerly Twitter) after the 2024-2025 season.

Auxerre finished 11th in Ligue 1 with 42 points. They achieved 11 wins, nine draws, and 14 losses.

This season marked Auxerre’s return to the French top flight. They ended with a 3-1 loss to Paris Saint-Germain.

“What a season! Proud to wear these colours,” Mensah wrote. He expressed pride in being part of the team and club.

Mensah played in 29 league games this season. He also provided one assist during the campaign.

Additionally, he featured prominently for Ghana in World Cup qualifiers.
