What A Season- Gideon Mensah states after AJ Auxerre mark Ligue 1 return with 11th place finish

Ghana defender Gideon Mensah is proud to play for AJ Auxerre.

He shared his feelings on X (formerly Twitter) after the 2024-2025 season.

Auxerre finished 11th in Ligue 1 with 42 points. They achieved 11 wins, nine draws, and 14 losses.

This season marked Auxerre’s return to the French top flight. They ended the campaign with a 3-1 loss to Paris Saint-Germain.

Mensah expressed his pride in a post: “What a season! Proud to wear these colours, proud to be part of this group, proud to be at AJ Auxerre.”

He described the year as full of hard work, passion, sweat, and love for the club.

During the season, Mensah played in 29 league games and provided one assist. He also featured prominently for Ghana’s Black Stars in World Cup qualifiers.
