The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match between Akwa United and Bendel Insurance, originally set for Sunday, December 8, has been rescheduled to Monday, December 9, due to logistical conflicts with the CAF Confederation Cup.
Enyimba FC, playing Zamalek of Egypt in a group-stage fixture on December 8 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, temporarily uses Akwa United’s home ground since their stadium in Aba failed CAF standards.
Efforts to shift the Akwa United game to Saturday, December 7, were unsuccessful as CAF regulations require Zamalek to train on the pitch that evening.
To avoid overlaps and ensure smooth scheduling, the NPFL postponed the Akwa United vs Bendel Insurance clash to Monday. This change highlights the coordination needed when sharing venues for domestic and continental competitions.
