Ghanaian long-distance runner William Amponsah won the men’s 10,000m title. He achieved this at the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Amponsah represents West Texas A&M University. He finished with a time of 29:29.41, marking his second consecutive victory in this event.
This win gives him seven NCAA Division II All-American honors. It solidifies his status as one of Ghana’s top student-athletes abroad.
Amponsah holds Ghana’s national record for the 10,000m. His performance confirms his rising status in distance running.
In the women’s 10,000m event, Naomi Addo earned All-American status too. She placed 8th with a time of 35:35.56.
