Matheus Cunha has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association following Wolverhampton Wanderers' 2-1 loss to Ipswich.
The Brazil striker, who scored Wolves' equalizer, allegedly acted improperly after the match, with footage showing him elbowing an Ipswich security guard in the back of the head and taking his glasses.
Cunha, who has scored eight goals this season, has until December 19 to respond to the charge.
The loss, which was Wolves' 11th in the Premier League, led to the dismissal of manager Gary O'Neil and his staff. Wolves are currently 19th in the league, five points behind 17th-placed Leicester, whom they play next.
