Ghana winger Yaw Yeboah is nearing a move to Major League Soccer's San Diego FC, an expansion side. After his contract option was not triggered by Columbus Crew, the 27-year-old is eligible for the MLS Re-Entry Process, which could see him join a new club.
Yeboah, a product of the Right to Dream Academy (which has stakes in San Diego FC), will bring valuable experience to the team ahead of their inaugural campaign.
The Ghana international has played in four top European leagues, including stints in France, Spain, and Poland, and started his career at Manchester City. Yeboah is also remembered for scoring the winning goal for Columbus Crew in the 2020 MLS final against LA FC.
