Former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo has backed Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina for a potential move to Manchester City.
Speaking to Africafoot, Yobo praised Aina as one of the best right-backs in the Premier League this season, calling a switch to Pep Guardiola’s side a major boost for both the player and Nigerian football.
Yobo highlighted Aina’s defensive strength and attacking ability, qualities Guardiola values in his full-backs. He also believes working under Guardiola would further improve Aina’s game.
However, Yobo noted that Nottingham Forest would suffer from losing a key player for free, as Aina’s contract expires this summer.
Having joined Forest on a one-year deal from Torino in 2023, Aina’s consistent performances have attracted interest, making him one of the most sought-after free agents in the next transfer window.
