The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed one death. They also rescued three people from a collapsed building in Idi-Araba, Surulere, Lagos.
The two-storey building was still under construction. It collapsed around 3:50 p.m. on Sunday, causing panic among residents.
Ibrahim Farinloye is the South-West Zonal Coordinator of NEMA. He reported that one body was recovered from the rubble. The three survivors are now receiving treatment in a hospital.
"Rescue operations are still ongoing," he added.
