Nigeria: 'Enough Is Enough', Tinubu Tasks Security Chiefs to End Killings

President Bola Tinubu has ordered a complete overhaul of national security strategies. He wants urgent action to stop the rising violence in Borno, Benue, Plateau, and Kwara states.

The President met with security chiefs for over two hours at the State House in Abuja. He emphasized that the killing of innocent people must end. "Enough is enough," he stated, condemning the targeting of innocent Nigerians.

National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu spoke to reporters after the meeting. He said the service chiefs updated the President on the security situation.

Ribadu mentioned that President Tinubu directed a new approach to address insecurity. He also noted that Tinubu monitored developments while visiting Paris and London.

"Mr. President allowed us to brief him again," Ribadu said. The briefing lasted a long time and was very detailed. They provided updates on current events and received new directives from him.

The NSA assured that they are committed to restoring security in Nigeria.
