El Fasher, El Malha, Bara, Babanousa, Wad Banda, El Sunut, Um Adara, En Nuhoud, Tawila, Jebel Marra, and Zamzam Camp are facing violence. The paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have been accused of killing at least eight civilians. Dozens more were injured in shelling of residential areas in El Fasher. This attack occurred on Tuesday.
A day earlier, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) reported a separate RSF artillery strike. They claimed this barrage killed 47 civilians. The Resistance Committees in El Fasher stated that the attack targeted key parts of the city. They noted that women and children were among those who died.
Twenty others were injured in the recent attack; some are critically hurt. The group described this as a return to "strategic marches" aimed at striking the city. On Monday, the SAF reported even heavier losses from artillery shelling.
According to the Sixth Infantry Division in North Darfur, 47 civilians died due to intense shelling. Among them were ten women and four judges whose homes burned down. A woman carrying a baby was also killed; her relatives remain unidentified.
The SAF blamed the RSF for this barrage. They claimed around 250 mortars were fired into city neighborhoods. Wounded civilians have been taken to hospitals across El Fasher for treatment.
On Monday, Sudanese Air Force warplanes targeted RSF positions in El Malha and Bara. These locations are about 210 km north of El Fasher. Activists shared videos showing thick smoke rising over both towns.
In Babanousa, South Kordofan, an air operation against RSF positions was reported by SAF. However, details about this operation remain unclear.
Local sources observed RSF troop movements near Wad Banda and El Sunut. These areas surround En Nuhoud in West Kordofan. Residents fear that the RSF is preparing for a new assault.
