Black Sherif earns nomination in 2025 BET Awards

Ghanaian artist Black Sherif has been nominated for the 2025 BET Awards.

He is in the Best International Act category.

Black Sherif will compete against several artists. These include Tyla from South Africa and Rema from Nigeria. Other nominees are Any Gabrielly from Brazil, Ayra Starr from Nigeria, and Basky from the UK. Uncle Waffles from Swaziland, Ezra Collective from the UK, Joé Dwèt Filé from France, MC Luanna from Brazil, and SDM from France are also in the running.

Many Ghanaian artists have received nominations over the years. Notable names include Kojo Antwi, D Black, Sarkodie, R2Bees, Stonebwoy, Fuse ODG, Kwesi Arthur, MzVee, and Camidoh.

This is Black Sherif's first time at the BET Awards. He was previously nominated for a BET Hip Hop Award in 2023.

Meanwhile, his new album 'Iron' is creating buzz and topping music charts.
