“I don’t enjoy being an artiste” – Amerado

Ghanaian rapper Amerado has shared his feelings about being an artist. He said he doesn’t truly enjoy it. He entered the music industry to survive, not out of passion.

In an interview with DJ Slim on Daybreak Hitz, Amerado discussed his struggles. He explained that being in the limelight comes with many challenges.

“The main reason I got into music was to survive,” he admitted. “Most of the time, I don’t even enjoy being an artiste.”

He mentioned restrictions as a major reason for his lack of enthusiasm. One challenge is the pressure to give money to fans in public.

“I feel restricted,” he said. “Whenever you’re in public, especially in traffic, you’re expected to hand out money.”

Despite these drawbacks, Amerado enjoys performing on stage. It allows him to connect with fans and see the impact of his work.

“The maintenance no be easy,” he added, highlighting the demands of being a musician.

When asked about other career options, Amerado said he would have pursued football instead.
