Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artist Jah Lead has retracted his earlier statement. About a month ago, he threatened to beat music producer JMJ.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, Jah Lead explained his outburst. He mentioned personal issues, including the loss of a loved one and marital problems.
When asked if he still stood by his threat, Jah Lead expressed love for JMJ. He said, "Honestly, JM is my brother. I love him. I would never assault him." He added that emotions had gotten intense and retracted his previous statement.
On March 17, 2025, Jah Lead had threatened JMJ over revenue from their song "Lonely." He claimed JMJ was blocking his earnings and accused him of taking money without consent.
The feud began over a song for JMJ's "Riddim of the Gods" project. Jah Lead alleged that JMJ blocked his song on Audiomack despite its popularity.
Jah Lead's apology may signal an end to their conflict. Both artists can now move forward in their careers.
