The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has conferred professional membership on Grammy Award-winning gospel artiste Jonathan McReynolds during a ceremony at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The event, which coincided with the granting of Ghanaian citizenship to 524 diasporans by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, highlighted McReynolds’ contributions to music and his promotion of Ghanaian culture globally.
Former MUSIGA President Diana Hopeson presented a citation celebrating his achievements, while MUSIGA’s 1st Vice President Rev Dr. Thomas Yawson emphasized the Union’s commitment to empowering artists.
McReynolds expressed gratitude, pledging support for Ghana’s music industry.
Accompanied by his family, McReynolds' recognition marks a step toward strengthening international ties through music.
