Telecel ignites TGMA fever with special data bundles, shout-outs and rewards

The 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs) are generating excitement. Headline partner Telecel Ghana is enhancing fan engagement with promotions and interactive experiences.

This year, fans can turn their love for nominees into voting power. They can purchase exclusive TGMA Data Bundles named after nominees in three categories: Artiste of the Year, Most Popular Song of the Year, and Afrobeats Song of the Year.

By buying a data bundle via short code 1767 or 700, fans vote for their favourite nominee. The awards night will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025.

Aneth Muga, Acting Director of Consumer Business at Telecel Ghana, said this year's experience empowers fans. They can convert everyday data purchases into votes for their favourites while winning rewards through interactive games.

Fans can also send video shout-outs to artistes using the new TGMA Special Shout Outs feature. Through the Telecel Play App, they can upload 5-10 second videos directly to artistes.

For just GH¢5, fans send personal messages and receive 100 free call minutes valid for three days.

Additionally, customers can win prizes with the Shake, Spin and Win feature on the app. Users can shake and spin to win smartphones, household appliances, food vouchers, and more until awards night.

There are 33 competitive categories highlighting Ghanaian music from January to December 2024.

Telecel Ghana continues to sponsor the Music for Good Award category. This award recognizes musicians who create positive social change beyond their craft.

The winner will receive a plaque and a cash prize of 20,000 Ghana cedis for their impact project.
