2024 Ghana Trade Report reveals a strong economic outlook, expanding global opportunities

The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has launched the 2024 Annual Trade Report and Q4 2024 Trade Newsletter, offering insights into Ghana’s international trade performance.

At the launch event, Head of Trade Statistics, Mr. Dominic Odoom, emphasized the importance of reliable trade data in shaping economic policies. Government Statistician, Prof. Samuel Kobina Annim, highlighted the need for data-driven policies to enhance global competitiveness.

The report revealed Ghana’s trade surplus of GH₵44.7 billion, with gold contributing 55.3% of exports. Q4 exports totaled GH₵92.9 billion, with a GH₵20.5 billion surplus.

Discussions at the event focused on leveraging trade data for economic growth. GSS encourages stakeholders to use these insights to strengthen Ghana’s trade sector and its global market position.
