2025 budget will ease hardships, and create jobs – Sammy Gyamfi

The 2025 budget statement, set to be presented by Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, aims to ease economic hardships and create jobs, according to Sammy Gyamfi, Acting Managing Director of PMMC.

The budget will also include plans for a Gold Board and reflect concerns from the National Economic Dialogue and traders. Minister of Government Communication Felix Kwakye Ofosu confirmed it will outline the financial state inherited by the NDC government while fulfilling campaign pledges such as removing the betting tax and COVID levy.

Dr. Forson emphasized Ghana’s fragile economy, urging caution and strategic action to restore stability. He assured ongoing engagement with citizens, highlighting government commitment to addressing their concerns. The budget is expected to focus on economic stabilization and sustainable growth.
