The 2025 Budget, presented by Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, outlines key interventions to transform Ghana’s economy, create jobs, and stabilize public finances.

Central to this plan is the 24-Hour Economy, which will enable businesses to operate around the clock, boosting productivity and employment. A $10 billion “Big Push” infrastructure program will enhance roads, transport, and energy systems to support economic growth.

The government will also establish the Ghana Gold Board (GOLDBOD) to regulate gold resources and strengthen foreign reserves. Additionally, the Ghana Labour Export Programme will formalize labour migration and increase remittances.

Lastly, the Women’s Development Bank, with GH¢51.3 million in seed capital, will support women entrepreneurs. Other budget highlights include increased road maintenance funding and allowances for assembly members.
