24-hour economy policy to be presented to Parliament in due course – Finance Minister

Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has announced that the government's 24-hour economy policy will soon be presented to Parliament.

Speaking during the 2025 Budget Statement, he highlighted the policy as a key initiative of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government aimed at boosting economic productivity, creating jobs, and driving sustainable growth.

The policy seeks to maximize infrastructure use and enhance employment opportunities by encouraging businesses to operate round the clock. Dr. Forson assured that measures, including incentives, are being put in place for a smooth rollout.

He urged parliamentary support, emphasizing the policy’s role in industrial expansion and investment. A comprehensive framework outlining the details will be submitted to Parliament for further deliberation.
