ASA Savings and Loans, Buzstopboys partner to promote environmental responsibility

Richard Nartey, the CSR/Sustainability Manager of ASA, spoke to the media. He highlighted a great opportunity to raise awareness about climate change. This initiative encourages environmental stewardship among teachers and students.

Nartey mentioned that this effort supports several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These include SDG-3 for good health, SDG-4 for quality education, and SDG-6 for clean water. It also addresses SDG-13 for climate action, SDG-14 for life below water, and SDG-15 for life on land.

He emphasized the importance of teaching students sustainable practices. These actions can help reduce their environmental impact. Personal hygiene was one example he encouraged students to adopt.

James Sarfo, a team lead from Buzstopboys, discussed waste disposal methods. He urged participants to volunteer in promoting environmental sustainability. Sarfo encouraged students to think creatively about solving environmental challenges.

He demonstrated efficient plastic disposal techniques that impressed everyone present. The event attracted over 500 students focused on plastic pollution management. At the end of the event, school management assured ASA they would use donated trash receptacles effectively.
