North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has criticized the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) for approving a US$750,000 electronic servicing contract with Virtual Security Africa, calling it "reckless and unpatriotic."
Signed three days ago, the deal has sparked controversy as ADB insiders report extreme political pressure to make full payment by December 27, 2024.
Ablakwa revealed that the contract bypassed ADB’s audit department, and negotiations with the vendor remain incomplete, with the main agreement still in draft form.
He linked the move to a broader pattern of “midnight contracts and payments,” despite warnings from the President-elect’s Transition Team.
As Chairman of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative, Ablakwa has intercepted internal memos highlighting similar transactions.
He warned public officials against yielding to unlawful pressures, stressing potential consequences post-January 7, 2025.
