Accra hosts IPRA Conference & Awards for first time

The upcoming conference will focus on two main topics:

1. Public Relations (PR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
2. Communication, Sustainability, and Climate Change

A panel of global experts will discuss the ethical use of AI in communication. They will pay special attention to Africa’s digital future.

Other speakers will highlight the severe effects of illegal small-scale mining, known as Galamsey, in Africa.

Panellists from various regions will share insights on climate communication and sustainability strategies.

President John Dramani Mahama will deliver a keynote address at the conference. Other notable speakers include Esther A.N. Cobbah, Arik Karani, and Nataša Pavlović Bujas.

International leaders in AI, sustainability, and strategic communications will also provide valuable insights.

The conference will conclude with the IPRA Golden World Awards Gala on the same day. This event recognizes impactful PR campaigns worldwide.

The Gala is supported by Strategic Communications Africa Ltd., with Movenpick as the partner hotel and Emirates as the partner airline.

This year’s gala is particularly significant as it marks IPRA's 70th anniversary. It also celebrates the official inauguration of its 2026 President.

Nataša Pavlović Bujas expressed excitement about celebrating IPRA's milestone in Ghana. She noted that IPRA has united PR professionals globally for seven decades.

Esther A.N. Cobbah emphasized that this gathering highlights Ghana's growing influence in global communications. She reaffirmed IPR Ghana’s commitment to excellence and international collaboration.
