President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo reaffirmed his government’s commitment to harnessing opportunities in the oil and gas sector during the commissioning of an Oil and Gas Services Terminal at Takoradi Port.

The terminal, featuring a 550-meter quay wall, 10-meter draft, and 200,000m² of serviced land, aims to create a world-class logistics hub for offshore oil and gas operations.

Funded by the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority and constructed by China Harbour Engineering Company and GYTD Group Limited, the facility includes advanced supply vessel berthing, operational offices, workshops, and storage facilities.

The project is expected to streamline offshore supply services, enhance petroleum engineering and fabrication, and boost local employment and technology transfer.

President Akufo-Addo highlighted the terminal's role in reducing costs, optimizing supply chains, and positioning Ghana as a regional oil and gas hub.
