Alex Apau Dadey grabs double CEO of the Year Awards at 9th Ghana CEO Summit

Mr. Alex Apau Dadey, Executive Chairman of KGL Group, received two awards at the 9th Ghana CEO Excellence Awards. He won CEO of the Year in both the Group Business Sector and Public-Private Partnership Technology Sector. This marks his third consecutive win in these categories.

The awards were presented during the Ghana CEO Summit. The event gathered over 500 CEOs, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders from West Africa. It focused on stronger public-private collaboration and sustainable leadership.

Mr. Dadey's recognition highlights his leadership and contributions to Ghana’s technology sector. Under his guidance, KGL Technology has led digital transformation in ICT, gaming, and telecommunications. The company ranked No. 1 in the ICT sector at the recent Ghana Club 100 Awards.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Dadey thanked his team: “This honour reflects our collective efforts at KGL Group.” He acknowledged their partnerships and shared values that drive innovation and impact.

He also praised President John Dramani Mahama for promoting dialogue with the private sector. Mr. Dadey stated that this approach fosters an environment for businesses to thrive: “When government and industry collaborate, we build a resilient Ghana.”

During the summit, he emphasized local innovation to tackle Africa’s development challenges. In a discussion with TV3’s Kemini Amanor, he spoke about KGL Group’s success with Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). “The best solutions come from within,” he said.

Mr. Dadey highlighted KGL Group's commitment to responsible business practices. This includes corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and transparency. The company aims to lead in ethical enterprise and inclusive innovation.

Central to this vision is the KGL Foundation, which drives initiatives in education and healthcare. The Foundation supports vulnerable populations and invests in youth entrepreneurship.
