Amin Adam: Akufo-Addo govt did not mismanage economy

Former Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam has dismissed claims by President John Dramani Mahama that the Akufo-Addo administration criminally mismanaged the economy.

Speaking on The Point of View with Bernard Avle on Channel One TV, he argued that the economy's fundamentals were strong when the NPP government left office.

Dr. Amin Adam accused the new administration of deliberately painting a negative picture of the economy to justify its tough policy decisions.

He claimed that this narrative was crafted to gain public support for difficult economic measures, insisting that the economy handed over was stable.
