Restoring Ghana’s forests requires more than just planting trees. It needs sustainable soil management and nutrient replenishment. Apex10 aims to accelerate tree crop growth while improving soil health. This makes it essential for reforestation efforts, according to Dennis Avorkpo, National Operations Coordinator at Apex10.
Kings Global Ventures donated bottles of Apex10 Organic Fertilizer Booster to the Nkawie Forestry Commission. They also participated in a ceremonial tree planting with government officials. The organic fertilizer enhances soil fertility and supports crops like cocoa and rubber. It is crucial for rehabilitating lands affected by deforestation and mining.
The Tree for Life initiative is timely as Ghana faces pressure to curb illegal mining. The Forestry Commission reports significant forest loss due to unregulated activities. Beyond afforestation, Apex10 is becoming popular in agriculture as an eco-friendly alternative to chemical fertilizers.
The company has expanded into key agricultural regions across Ghana. These include Greater Accra, Eastern, Kumasi, Volta, Oti, Ahafo, Bono, Western, Western-North, and five northern regions. They continue to support local farmers in these areas.
Shiabu Issaka, Western regional operations coordinator for Apex10, emphasized the need for sustainable farming. He stated that Apex10 aims to be a trusted partner for farmers and conservationists. The initiative's long-term success relies on corporate involvement and government enforcement of regulations.
King Ohene Obeng Asomaning, CEO of Apex10, highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships. With sustained investment and engagement from the public, Ghana can reclaim lost forests and rehabilitate degraded lands effectively.
