Apple announced it will invest $500 billion in the U.S. over the next four years, a pledge that includes building a giant factory in Texas to assemble AI servers and creating about 20,000 R&D jobs nationwide.
The investment covers all U.S. expenditures from supplier purchases to filming for Apple TV+ and follows reports of a recent meeting between CEO Tim Cook and President Trump, hinting at a political gesture.
This commitment echoes a similar announcement made in 2018, though its exact acceleration remains unclear.
Meanwhile, Apple is expanding its Advanced Manufacturing Fund from $5 billion to $10 billion and plans to open a manufacturing academy in Michigan to support small and mid-sized firms.
Additionally, Apple will work with Foxconn to build a 250,000-square-foot facility in Houston.
