Ato Forson’s appointment as Finance Minister right; he’s always been ahead of me - Adongo

Bolgatanga Central MP, Isaac Adongo, has defended the appointment of Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as Finance Minister, acknowledging Forson's seniority and experience in parliamentary finance roles.

This comes after some of Adongo’s constituents expressed disappointment that he was not chosen for the role instead. However, Adongo clarified that Forson has always been ahead of him in parliamentary finance leadership.

He outlined their career progression, noting that Forson was already the Ranking Member on the Finance Committee when he joined Parliament. Adongo later became Deputy Ranking Member, then Ranking Member, while Forson advanced to Leader of the Caucus.

Additionally, he highlighted Forson’s previous role as Deputy Finance Minister, making him a strong candidate for the ministerial position.

Adongo urged his supporters to be patient, assuring them that his time will come while reaffirming his commitment to serving his constituency and the nation.
