Bank of Ghana to mark Cedi@60

Ghana's resilience and innovation are reflected in the Cedi's reforms. These changes span from the first notes and coins to today's secure currency.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Cedi, the Bank of Ghana will host events. These activities will take place nationwide from July to December 2025. They include official launches, public exhibitions, educational campaigns, and stakeholder forums.

This anniversary is a chance for Ghanaians to reflect on the Cedi's history. It allows us to celebrate our progress and reaffirm our duty to protect its value. The Cedi represents our pride, heritage, and shared hopes for a prosperous future.
