BoG Governor Dr Ernest Addison to begin terminal leave ahead of retirement

Dr. Ernest Addison, Governor of the Bank of Ghana, will commence his terminal leave on February 3, 2025, ahead of his official retirement on March 28, 2025.

His two-term tenure, which began in April 2017, was marked by significant contributions to monetary policy and financial stability.

His decision to take accumulated leave before retirement has been approved by President John Mahama, ensuring a smooth transition for new leadership at the central bank.

The Bank of Ghana has expressed gratitude for his distinguished service and dedication to Ghana’s economic progress.
