Bringing healthcare to the heart of the marketplace

TTYM Global, led by midwife Sarah Nkansah Boateng, has launched a new service. This Point-of-Care Service is located at Agartha Market in Koforidua.

On October 14, 2024, TTYM Global partnered with the Eastern Regional Ghana Health Service for its first outreach. This marks the start of an ongoing program aimed at community health.

The initiative occurs regularly on market days to provide continuous care. It offers free ante-natal check-ups and consultations. It also screens for high-risk pregnancies using a digital health tracking system.

Emergency maternity kits are provided with essential delivery items. Health education on pregnancy, nutrition, and postpartum care is also delivered. These efforts are saving lives and giving hope to women who feel unsupported.

With the TTYM Mobile App, healthcare professionals can track patient data effectively. They can categorize pregnancies into high-risk and low-risk groups for better follow-up care. This technology helps connect underserved women with quality maternal healthcare.

Since launching this initiative:

- 67 market women have received ante-natal check-ups.
- 8 high-risk pregnancies were identified early and referred for specialist care.
- 80 women benefited from emergency maternity kits.
- Over 67 women received health education on various topics.

These numbers reflect lives protected and families preserved. Sarah Nkansah Boateng leads this initiative as a certified midwife and reproductive health advocate. She has extensive experience in maternal and child healthcare.

Sarah is committed to improving access to essential services for underserved women. TTYM Global aims to integrate this model into Ghana’s Ministry of Health framework. By placing point-of-care services in markets nationwide, they hope to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality rates significantly.

TTYM Global calls on development partners, corporate bodies, philanthropists, and government agencies for support. Your help will be crucial for mothers' well-being and children's futures.
