Dr. Ransford Abbey, the Chief Executive of COCOBOD, started a three-day tour. He visited cocoa farmers in Atronsu, located in the Bekwai District.
This visit aims to strengthen ties with cocoa-producing communities. Dr. Abbey wants to understand farmer concerns and assess key initiatives.
During his visit, he spoke directly with farmers. He listened to their challenges and shared updates on government interventions. These efforts aim to boost cocoa productivity and improve farmer welfare.
“This tour allows me to connect with the heartbeat of our industry,” Dr. Abbey said. “We are committed to rewarding your hard work.”
Farmers in Atronsu welcomed his visit and appreciated COCOBOD's outreach efforts. Dr. Abbey assured them that their feedback would influence policy decisions.
He reaffirmed COCOBOD’s commitment to working with all stakeholders in Ghana’s cocoa sector. The tour will continue for two more days, visiting several key cocoa-producing communities in both regions.
