Canada’s High Commissioner to Ghana, Myriam Montrat, has urged Ghana to reform its business and regulatory environment to attract international trade and investment.
Speaking at the Canada-Ghana Chamber of Commerce (CanCham) end-of-year celebration, she stressed the importance of moving from potential opportunities to concrete trade and investment outcomes.
Montrat encouraged sustained advocacy and collaboration with diplomatic missions to overcome barriers and unlock Ghana’s economic potential.
She highlighted Canada’s expertise in sustainable resource development and education, encouraging Ghanaian businesses to form strategic partnerships. Looking ahead, she expressed optimism for Ghana’s economic recovery in 2025 and pledged Canada’s continued support.
CanCham President Linda Vasnani outlined goals for 2025, including expanding trade and advocacy, while recognizing outstanding members like Consolidated Shipping Agencies Limited for advancing Ghana-Canada ties.
