Chamber of Mines congratulates Mahama; pledges support for mining sector growth

The Ghana Chamber of Mines congratulates President-Elect John Dramani Mahama on his historic re-election as Ghana’s first non-consecutive President.

In a statement, the Chamber praised Mahama’s resilience and the trust Ghanaians have in his vision and leadership.

It pledged to collaborate with its administration to promote a sustainable and thriving mining sector, emphasizing its potential to drive economic transformation through job creation, technology transfer, infrastructure development, and community well-being.

The Chamber expressed confidence in policies under Mahama’s leadership that balance economic growth with environmental and social responsibility while fostering investment and local capacity building.

Representing over 60% of Ghana’s mineral output, the Chamber reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives for the long-term sustainability of the mining industry, benefiting all Ghanaians.
