The government and leading Chinese mining companies have launched the Association of China-Ghana Mining (ACGM).
This initiative aims to promote responsible and sustainable mining practices in Ghana.
The ACGM consists of 10 Chinese mining companies. It marks a significant step in Sino-Ghanaian collaboration in mining.
Notable members include Cardinal Namdini Mining Ltd and Golden Star (Wassa) Ltd. These companies are subsidiaries of Shandong Gold Group and Chifeng Gold Group, respectively.
Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, delivered the keynote address. He spoke on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama.
Buah reaffirmed the government's commitment to working with ACGM. The goal is to enhance Chinese investment in Ghana’s mining sector.
