Deloitte Assurance Partner Kwabena Situ reappointed to IFRS SME Implementation Group

Dr. Kwabena Situ has been reappointed to the SME Implementation Group (SMEIG) of the IFRS Foundation.

He is an Assurance Partner at Deloitte Ghana.

His new term will last until June 30, 2028.

This decision was made during the IFRS Foundation Trustees meeting in London in March 2025.

Dr. Situ’s continued role on the SMEIG shows his expertise and commitment.

He works to improve financial reporting standards for small and medium-sized entities worldwide.

The SMEIG supports consistent application of the IFRS for SMEs Accounting Standard.

It also advises the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) on amendments and implementation issues.

Dr. Situ’s reappointment highlights Deloitte Ghana’s contribution to global standard-setting.

The firm is dedicated to promoting transparency and excellence in financial reporting.

In addition, Dr. Situ leads Deloitte Academy and is a deputy leader at Deloitte Financial Services Industry.

He has over 18 years of experience in auditing, accountancy, and consultancy services.
