Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has urged the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) and the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) to prioritize diligence, innovation, and fiscal discipline.
During his working visit to the agencies on January 23, he challenged them to exceed expectations and leave a legacy of national development.
Dr. Forson, who recently assumed office, also met with the Ministry of Finance's leadership, expressing his commitment to improving Ghanaian lives through job creation, fiscal prudence, exchange rate stability, and reduced inflation.
President John Dramani Mahama tasked Dr. Forson with stabilizing the cedi, reducing inflation, and ensuring sustainable public debt levels. Dr. Forson reaffirmed his dedication to addressing the needs of Ghanaians, emphasizing collaboration to achieve economic progress.
