President John Mahama has appointed Dr. George Atta-Boateng as the acting Director General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB).
Dr. Atta-Boateng, a former Director-General of the National Information Technology Agency (NITA), has 18 years of experience in ICT, specializing in data communications, mobile networking technologies, software development, and radio/television integration systems.
He is skilled in managing large-scale projects within time and budget constraints and has expertise in ICT development, policy, and strategy, particularly in developing countries.
He has lectured at various Ghanaian tertiary institutions and has in-depth knowledge of ICT sectors, including cybersecurity and infrastructure. The NSB, under Ghana's National Security Council, is responsible for providing secure signal systems to the country's intelligence and national security agencies.
