Dr. Mary Awusi, CEO of the Ghana Free Zones Authority, is actively promoting Ghana’s 24-hour economy initiative to international investors.
Speaking at the 3rd US-Ghana Business Expo in Pennsylvania, she emphasized President John Mahama’s vision of fostering a business-friendly environment that enhances productivity, creates jobs, and boosts economic growth.
She highlighted Ghana’s focus on technology-driven agriculture, agro-processing, and manufacturing, supported by incentives for private sector participation.
Dr. Awusi introduced key initiatives like the Accelerated Export Development Programme (AEDP) and the National Export Development Strategy (NEDS) to enhance export competitiveness and economic diversification.
She also underscored opportunities in healthcare, trade, and agriculture, leveraging Ghana’s Free Zones and AfCFTA’s vast market potential. The event facilitated business engagements across multiple sectors, strengthening US-Ghana trade ties.
