Dr. Samiu Nuamah appointed Executive Director of African Institute of Energy and Sustainability

The African Institute of Energy and Sustainability (AIES) has appointed Dr. Samiu Kwadwo Nuamah as its new Executive Director. AIES is a leading research and consultancy institution focused on sustainable energy solutions. The institute believes Dr. Nuamah’s experience in energy management and policy will elevate its mission.

Dr. Nuamah is an experienced energy expert, academic, and policy advisor. He has a strong background in energy production, climate change mitigation, and sustainable transitions. His career includes significant contributions to energy policy development and renewable energy research.

He has held key roles at RWE npower (UK) and Genser Energy (UK). In these positions, he worked on energy strategy and management. Additionally, he served as a lecturer at the University of Ghana and Nottingham Trent University.

Dr. Nuamah has also been involved in politics as a Member of Ghana’s Parliament. He was part of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Mines and Energy, influencing important policies.

His academic credentials include degrees from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Cranfield University, and the University of Nottingham. His qualifications in Energy and Environmental Studies support his leadership role at AIES.

As Executive Director, Dr. Nuamah will drive AIES's vision for a low-carbon economy. He aims to promote efficient energy use through best practices and research-driven policies. AIES is known for its work in consultancy, technical training, environmental assessments, and sustainability strategies.
