Ecobank Ghana, Standard Chartered seek extension for financial statements submission to GSE

Ecobank Ghana and Standard Chartered Bank Ghana have received an extension from the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) to submit their audited financial statements until March 31, 2025.

Although the banks did not specify their reasons, such delays are common due to the rigorous and time-consuming audit process. Factors that can lead to delays include incomplete audits, complex accounting issues, legal investigations, significant changes in business operations, data system challenges, natural disasters, internal control deficiencies, and auditor disagreements.

The GSE’s decision aligns with its commitment to ensuring that listed companies comply with capital market regulations. Timely financial reporting is crucial, as it provides investors with the accurate information needed to make informed decisions.
