Editorial: Ghana Post enhancement

Ghana Post is implementing a three-part strategy to modernize its services.

First, it will update infrastructure and information systems. This aims to enhance technology and improve cybersecurity.

Second, logistics systems will be modernized for faster delivery across all regions.

Third, Ghana Post will expand its services to support e-commerce and secure parcel handling. It will also provide access to essential public services.

Nartey George states that these reforms will make Ghana Post crucial for e-commerce and trade. They aim to improve citizen access to government services and boost the economy.

This initiative aligns with the country's efforts to integrate digital tools into trade facilitation. Local businesses can benefit from opportunities in the continental free trade pact.

The logistics upgrade is part of a broader digital transformation agenda by the ministry. This includes launching the One Million Coders Programme and initiatives for affordable internet access.

Additionally, there will be a review of outdated communications laws to meet modern needs.
