Edward Bawa pledges to position GNPC as a global leader in Oil and Gas industry

Edward Bawa, the Acting Chief Executive of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), has outlined his vision to position the national oil company as a global leader in the oil and gas industry.

In his first official statement since assuming office, Bawa emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships across the petroleum value chain to attract more investments, enhance exploration and production, and ensure long-term energy security and economic growth for Ghana.

He expressed his commitment to building on GNPC’s mandate of sustainably managing the country’s petroleum resources while prioritizing innovation, corporate governance, and environmental stewardship.

Bawa aims to foster a culture of excellence, adapt to the evolving global energy landscape, and collaborate with both local and international stakeholders to maximize Ghana’s petroleum potential.
